This venue is a fairly modern property that couldn’t be better placed for the city centre and the famous attractions of Bath. Car Parking is provided by a basement facility shared with a nearby supermarket. There is no lift access so I had to carry my suitcase from the Second Basement level up 3 flights of stairs - maybe I should add I am 80 years old. I recommend you drop your bags off at the front door of the hotel before parking your car. At the time of writing the parking charge is £15 per day. The reception staff were professional and helpful. Access to rooms is via 2 relatively small lifts which state they take 8 passengers each. In reality, however, when factoring in luggage, that number is more like 6 which is a limited capacity given the four floors of rooms they are supposed to serve. During my stay, one lift was out of order so waits for the remaining lift were tedious. The room was compact with a double bed slotted into a confined alcove space giving limited access to either side. There are numerous electrical outlets complete with USB slots. There was ample cupboard and drawer space. The bed was comfortable with sufficient bedding and pillows. The bathroom was well-appointed with a wash basin, toilet, and shower stall. Soap, shampoo, and conditioning liquids are provided along with hand and bath towels. At breakfast, you are greeted warmly by a delightful hostess who explained what was on offer and ushers you to the best table available. I had good views over the river from my table. The variety of both cooked and cold dishes is extensive. I did not make use of the available restaurant and bar facilities. I spent a comfortable 3 nights at this venue which provides almost unrivaled access to Bath’s attractions.

The rooms were very clean with lots of towels and comfy beds and bedding. The staff were exceptional - they went above and beyond to help with all we needed, arranged a late check out for me and my young children but especially helped me with a dilemma i wasn’t expecting to face! We had arranged the trip around my Husband’s business meetings and as he drove off for the day I realised in horror he had driven off accidentally with our suitcases and my only pair of trousers in tow, leaving me in the hotel room with two small children and no clothes to leave the hotel room with!!!! After calling reception, they were incredibly helpful and were able to find me a pair of lost property trousers from housekeeping so I could walk to the nearby by shops (3 mins away) with my dignity in tact. Very grateful for their help as I’m not quite sure what I would have done at check out (save donning a bed sheet like a Roman toga) Thanks to all involved. A great stay!

Rebecca

We loved where this is situated, right in the town so we really didn't have to walk far to get to anywhere. Staff were willing to go out of their way, especially Rose who upgraded us to a room with a bath and river view which we really appreciated. The lady at breakfast greeted us with a warm and happy smile, she really made our day! Breakfast was brilliant and we loved the double cream scrambled egg! Cozy and warm hotel that we hope to come back to again soon!

Location, was excellent for central Bath and for an older person with walking difficulties. The breakfast was excellent, the on duty staff was very welcoming, smiling and happy to greet the guests. The room was small and the bed not so comfortable for us, and not comfortable pillows. We did have a River view. The was a drain smell in the bathroom. The room was not cleaned during our three day visit!

Rosemary

Great location for Bath, plenty of on-site parking, very friendly staff (every single one!) and modern interior.
